Normally, picking up your 12th win of the season and a win that locked up the #2 seed in the upcoming 8th District tournament would be something worth a bit of celebration after a match. But there was very little celebration for the University Heights Academy Blazers after their 10-0 district win over Heritage Christian Academy at Givens Field.

A first half leg injury to senior Lincoln Hauret put a damper on the Blazers’ evening, which ended at the half. Hauret was injured on a play in front of the goal with just over 18 minutes to go in the first half of play with UHA leading 4-0.

The match was stopped for an extended period of time while Hauret was tended to on the field. He would end up being transported from the field by private vehicle.

With the game being a district contest, the decision was made to continue play. UHA scored three goals in a three minute span to push the lead out to 7-0. The Blazers added three more by the end of the half to get to 10-0, which ended the match due to the 8-goal mercy rule.

For the Blazers, Hayden Hunt finished with 2 goals and an assist. Graham Conrad had 2 goals and 4 assists. Before his injury, Lincoln Hauret had a goal and an assist. Cadence Gibson also had a goal and an assist. Teerth Shah scored one goal. Jack Conrad added one goal and an assist. Landon Cherry scored 2 goals, And, Cal Givens picked up 1 assist.

UHA (12-6) is back in action Tuesday night at home hosting Marshall County.

Heritage Christian (0-11) wraps up the regular season Tuesday night by hosting Trigg County.
