The Christian County Lady Colonels remain unbeaten in 8th District volleyball play. The Lady Colonels picked up their latest win on the road across town Monday night as they took a four-set win over Heritage Christian Academy.

The Lady Warriors had an early 6-4 lead in the opening set, but then the bottom fell out. Christian County ripped off a 13-1 run to get out to a 17-7 lead. The Lady Colonels would go on to take the set 25-14. Ashlea Russell, Kaidence Atwell, Shiloh Baker, and Kiley Lambert, all had big sets for the Lady Colonels.

Heritage Chrsitian came back in the second set. The Lady Warriors ran out to a 16-7 lead and went on to take the set 25-16 to even the match up at one set each. Hadlee Hayes, Makenzie McCarty, Bralee Fowler, and Emma Dalke, helped to get the Lady Warriors off to the good start in the set.

In the third set, Christian County got out to a 14-6 lead thanks to strong play from Kaidence Atwell, Kiley Lambert, and Taylor Cantrell. Bralee Fowler and Hannah Phelps battled to help the Lady Warriors get back to within 20-18, but that would be as close as they could get as Christian County took the third 25-21 to go up two sets to one.

The fourth set saw the two teams tied early at 6-6. However, led by the play of Kiley Lambert and Taylor Cantrell, the Lady Colonels scored seven straight to take a 13-6 lead. That put the Lady Warriors in catch up mode for the rest of the set. HCA could get no closer than six points coming down the stretch. A Katie Cansler kill ended the set at 25-14, giving Christian County the match win, three sets to one.

Christian County (15-13) goes on the road to Henderson County Tuesday night.

Heritage Christian (12-15) is set to host Hopkinsville Tuesday night.
