UHA Runners Take 9th Place at Logan County Cougar Run

The University Heights Academy Blazers cross country team got a look at the course that will host the Class 1A region meet next month, finishing in ninth place at the Logan County Cougar Run in Russellville.

The Blazers totaled 253 points, which was second best among Class 1A schools. They were 23 points ahead of Dawson Springs and 51 points behind Fort Campbell.

Freshman Graham Conrad was the first Blazer to cross the finish line with a time of 18:49 over the 3.1-mile course, which was good for 18th place. It was the fifth top 20 finish of the season for Conrad.

Jude Finch came in 39th place in 19:49, while Ronan Croney-Sallie was 49th in 20:08. Zech Davis came in 95th place in 22:03, and Garrett Bowling was one spot back in 96th place with a time of 22:04.

Hayden Hayes was 137th in 24:22, and eighth grader Lucas Stine was 144th in 25:06.

Apollo took the team title with 66 points while Union County’s Tristan Coy won the race with a time of 16:25.
