Cooper Collins bowed out of the KHSAA State Golf Tournament with a 78th-place tie in the first round on Tuesday at the Calvert City Country Club.
The Lyon County senior began his day on the back nine and shot a 44 with three pars.
Collins made two birdies on the front nine, but too many crooked numbers resulted in a 50.
His round of 94 was 16 shots out of a qualifying spot for the championship round at Bowling Green.
Collins wraps up a senior season that saw him play in the All A Classic State Tournament as well as the KHSAA State First Round.
