Make it three straight wins for the University Heights Academy Lady Blazers in the series against the Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons. UHA got goals from Kendall Hancock and Skyler Cantrell as the Lady Blazers turned back the Lady Maroons 2-1 Tuesday night at Donley Field.
The match was scoreless for much of the first half, with neither team getting a true scoring opportunity. That changed at the 36:18 mark when Skyler Cantrell got a pass through to Kendall Hancock, who found the net and put the Lady Blazers up 1-0.

That goal sparked a little momentum for the Lady Blazers, who had a couple of chances to add to the lead in the waning moments of the first half, but could not get the ball back in the net before the half.
University Heights extended the lead at 49:30, and this time it was in reverse order. Kendall Hancock got the pass through to Skyler Cantrell, who finished off with the goal as the Lady Blazer lead grew to 2-0.
Madisonville made things interesting when McKinley Wilson scored at 78:10 and cut the lead to 2-1.
The Lady Maroons had a couple of chances in the waning moments, including a throw-in from the right-hand side with 25 seconds left, but UHA was able to come up with the stops and hold on for the win.

Both goalies had big nights. Madison Williams had six saves for UHA, while Nevaeh Lindle came up with 9 saves for the Lady Maroons.
UHA (13-2-1) will close out the regular season Thursday night by hosting Todd County Central.
The Lady Maroons end the regular season at 10-7. They will take on Caldwell County Monday night in the semifinals of the 7th District tournament.
