Wildcat Runners Take 6th Place at Logan County Cougar Run

Trigg County had its top four runners finish within a minute of each other and came in sixth place at Saturday’s Logan County Cougar Run in Russellville.

The course at the high school will also host next month’s regional meet.

Dominic Skinner led the Wildcat runners with a 25th-place finish in a time of 19:07. It was his third top-25 finish of the season.

Brody Renfroe came in 42nd place in a time of 19:57. Seventh grader Zane Marshall came in 50th place in 20:09, while Grant Gallogly was 51st in 20:12, and Dekon Perry was 52nd in 20:21.

Grady Oliphant finished in 68th place with a time of 20:56. Max Disney was 89th in 21:50, while Travis Lowry was 94th in 22:03, and 7th grader Cameron Crawford was 97th in 22:05.

Those runners helped Trigg County produce a team score of 192, good for 6th place.

They finished 10 points ahead of 7th-place Fort Campbell and 15 points behind 5th-place Webster County. Apollo won the team title with 66 points while Union County’s Tristan Coy won the individual title in a time of 16:25.
