Lauren Mayes just missed on her fifth top 10 finish of the season at Saturday’s Logan County Cougar Run in Russellville.

The Hopkinsville High School senior ran the 3.1-mile course in 22:25, just over a second out of tenth place.

Alexis Herrera-Lovato finished in 18th place for the Lady Tigers with a time of 23:25, and Evelyn Bangart was 43rd in 25:29.

Kaydon Coats came in 56th place in 26:35, and Amerah Acree was 78th in 29:33. Luanna Acree was 94th in 31:48.

As a team, Hopkinsville finished in eighth place with 165 points. The Lady Tigers were fourth among Class 2A teams that will run the same course at the Class 2A meet, which, for some reason, Logan County is hosting on a Friday night ahead of a home football game.

Webster County’s Mayci Moore won the race in 20:14.
