Lady Panthers Lead Class 1A Teams at Logan County Cougar Run

Dawson Springs came in seventh place at the Logan County Cougar Run on Saturday, giving teams a preview of the course that will also host the Class 1A Region Meet later this month.

Olivia Hines led the Lady Panthers with a 19th-place finish in a time of 23:32 over the 3.1-mile course. It was the fourth consecutive top 20 finish for the Lady Panther freshman.

Baylee Swatzell came in 32nd place with a time of 24:39, while her twin sister Ashtyn was 37th in 24:55.

Seventh grader Rhyan Parker was 44th in 25:36, while Alieah Cook was 50th (26:10), and Alyssa Allison was 52nd (26:14). Briley Sawyer was 89th in 31:13.

Dawson Springs finished seventh with 154 points, three points behind sixth-place Muhlenberg County. The Lady Panthers placed first among Class 1A schools that sent the necessary five runners to the starting line.

Webster County’s Mayci Moore won the race in 20:14.
