Molly Cavinder continues her progress as she prepares for the Class 1A Region 1 Meet later this month at Logan County High School.
The University Heights Academy eighth grader finished in 95th place at Logan County’s Cougar Run, which was run on the same course that will host the region meet.
Cavinder covered the 3.1-mile course in 32:13, which was her first varsity race since August. She qualified for the state meet last year after a 20th-place finish at the region meet.
On Saturday, Cavinder finished 26th among Class 1A runners.
