It was arguably one of the best performance of the season for the Todd County Central Lady Rebels. The Lady Rebels fought through a tough first set and then ran away from the Christian County Lady Colonels winning in straight sets Thursday night in Elkton.

The Lady Colonels batted the Lady Rebels toe-to-toe in the first set, with the set staying close until the very end. Still, the Lady Rebels found a way to get the 25-22 win to go up one set to none.

From there, it was all Todd County Central. Picking up their pace of play and getting a big defensive effort, the Lady Rebels won the second set 25-14 and then closed out the sweep with another 25-14 win in the third.

A monster night for Aubri Penick on the attacking, finishing with 23 kills. She also had three service aces. Allyssa Wofford added 12. Shelby Holderman had one of her best night of the season at setting the table, ending the match with 30 assists.

Todd County Central (15-9) is now off until October 16 when the Lady Rebels will wrap up the regular season against Muhlenberg County.

Christian County (15-15) is now off until October 13 when the Lady Colonels host the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers for the final time ever in the regular season.
