Hopkinsville Sweeps on Past Lady Wildcats

The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers put an end to a three-match losing skid Thursday night. Hopkinsville traveled to Trigg County and came away with a straight-set win over the Lady Wildcats.

The Lady Tigers opened the night by taking the first set 25-15. Trigg County battled back in the second, but it would still end up being Hopkinsville with the win 25-20 to go up two sets to none.

Hopkinsville then closed out the night by winning the third set 25-19 to complete the sweep.

Madysen Taggart led the Lady Tigers with 13 kills. She is closing in on 200 for the season, as she now has 185.

Alayna King led Hopkinsville with 15 assists. She also tied with Kyleigh Weber for the team lead in digs with 5.

Hopkinsville improves to 5-18 with the win. The Lady Tigers are scheduled to take on Fort Campbell Tuesday.

Trigg County drops to 4-14. The Lady Wildcats are back on the court October 14 when they travel to Fulton City.
