Less than two weeks ago, the Hopkins County Central Lady Storm knocked off the Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons in four sets on the Lady Storm’s home court. Thursday night, the Lady Maroons returned the favor.
Madisonville started fast and never let up as the Lady Maroons took the straight-set win.
The Lady Maroons came out and won the opening set 25-10. They kept the momentum rolling into the second set, taking a 25-7 win to go up two sets to none and put the Lady Storm with their backs against the wall.
There would be no rally this night as the Lady Maroons just kept on rolling, taking the third set 25-15 to close out the match three sets to none.
Leah Moody led the attack for the Lady Maroons with 7 kills. Sadie Kirk and Lilly Gobin had 5 each. Cadence Curry led Madisonville in assists with 16. She also led in service aces with 9.
The win, which was the third straight for the Lady Maroons, moves Madisonville to 15-17.
Hopkins County Central drops to 3-21.
