Kiley Slone is a softball player who decided to give soccer a chance. The result for the Trigg County senior has been stellar play in net for the Lady Wildcats down the stretch and eventually a fourth consecutive district soccer championship.
Slone says the soccer coaches have been asking her to play for a while, and she relented this year. The results have been six complete-game shutouts, including two in district play. The latest came in Tuesday’s district championship.
In this YSE interview, Slone talked about giving soccer a shot.
