The University Heights Lady Blazers went into their matchup with the Crittenden County Lady Rockets looking to start a win streak after a win in their last game. They were able to do just that, and they did so in just three sets.
Crittenden County had taken the last three games between the two teams, so UHA was looking for their first win against the Lady Rockets since October of 2023.
The Lady Blazers were able to win the first set with a fairly close score of 25-19, which was the same score in their win in the third set. As for the second set, it was not quite as close, but still saw University Heights take ing it 25-16.
Gretchen Durham led the Lady Blazers in assists with 15, and she also contributed seven digs. But the leader on the team in digs was Cassidy Keller with 13.
UHA will be looking for their third win in a row in their next game on Tuesday, October 14, against the Lady Eagles of Graves County. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. at University Heights Academy.
