
The Fort Campbell Lady Falcons put three runners in the top six and came home with a region runner-up finish at the Class 1A Region 1 cross country race on Saturday at Logan County High School.
Eighth grader Liliana Ketterl was the first Lady Falcon to cross the finish line. She covered the 3.1-mile course in 21:43. Seventh grader Abby Roberts continued her strong run down the stretch with a fifth-place finish in 22:06.
Delaney Perry came in sixth place with a time of 22:35. Alexa Doyle came in 15th place for the Lady Falcons with a time of 24:59, and Zoey Wingerd rounded out the scoring with a 30th-place finish in 31:36.
As a team, the Lady Falcons had 47 points, which was 15 points behind region champion Dawson Springs and 23 points ahead of third-place Murray.
Jade Green of Murray won the race in a time of 20:31.
The Class 1A state meet will be run on Saturday at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington at 3:45 pm.
