Union County to Send Three Bravettes to State XC Meet (w/PHOTOS)

Union County just missed qualifying a team for the girls’ state cross country meet on Saturday, but will have three runners representing the school in Lexington.

The Bravettes finished in fifth place, just three points behind Hopkinsville, who claimed the fourth and final qualifying spot at Saturday’s Class 2A Region 1 cross country meet at Logan County High School.

Freshman Isabella Graham came in sixth place with a time of 21:32 over the 3.1-mile course. Kinslee Gray, also a freshman, finished in 15th place in 23:15, and junior Audrey Burgess came in 23rd place in a time of 24:17.

Those three runners qualified for the state meet.

Addison Thomas came in 29th place in 25:51, while Liliana Owen was 33rd in 26:59 and Miley Mosley was 38th in 27:21.

Webster County’s Mayci Moore won the race with a time of 19:19, and Calloway County claimed the team title.

The three Bravettes will run in the Class 2A state cross country meet on Saturday at 1:15 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
