As a junior, Savior Davis missed qualifying for the state cross country meet by eight seconds. The Hopkinsville High senior made sure there was no such drama at Saturday’s region meet, claiming the fourth of five at-large bids.
Davis has been a consistent runner for the Tigers this year. In seven races, his times have varied by just 50 seconds. He has a chance to break the 18-minute barrier for the first time this weekend in Lexington.
