
A season that got off to a tumultuous start wound its way to a conclusion Friday night for the Todd County Central Rebels. Webster County scored the first 31 points of the night and picked up a 31-12 win over the Rebels in Elkton in the regular season finale for both teams.
Webster County is headed to Glasgow next week for the first round of the playoffs while Todd County Central did not qualify for a playoff berth and now starts looking ahead to the 2026 season.
The Trojans got on the board with 8:22 left in the opening quarter when Andrew Boucher scored on an 11-yard run to give Webster County an 8-0 lead.
Hayden Wright found the end zone from 3 yards out with 8:33 to go in the half as Webster County extended the lead to 16-0 with the two point conversion.
In the final seconds of the half, Andrew Boucher hit Hayden Wright with a 15 yard scoring pass that gave the Trojans a 23-0 lead going into the half.
The Trojans got back on the board in the third quarter when Tyler Kautzman hit paydirt on a six-yard run with 2:09 to go in the third, giving Webster County a 31-0 lead.
DeVarious Miller got the Rebels on the board on the final play of the third quarter with a 3-yard run, trimming the lead to 31-6. Todd County Central then added another score in the middle portion of the final quarter when Eli Morgan connected with Jayden Carrington for a 28-yard touchdown pass.
The Rebels end the season with a record of 1-9, dropping nine straight after winning the season-opener on the road at Ballard Memorial.
