In the final cross country race of the Hopkinsville High program, the two Tiger entries finished within four places of one another at Saturday’s Kentucky Beef Council Class 2A race in Lexington.
Junior Tyson Cavinder came in 49th place with a time of 18:08 over the 3.1-mile course at the Kentucky Horse Park. It was his third run in the state meet. He finished 36th as a sophomore last year.
Senior Savior Davis, running in his first state meet, came in 53rd place in 18:13.
Covington Catholic’s Joe Mayer won the race in 15:44.
