A pair of Crittenden County Lady Rocket cross country runners made their fifth appearance at the state meet over the weekend in Lexington.
Senior Ella Geary wrapped up her successful cross country career with a 153rd-place finish at the Kentucky Beef Council Class 1A state championships at the Kentucky Horse Park. She covered the 3.1-mile course in a time of 25.58.
Junior Presley Potter was also making her fifth appearance at the state meet. She finished in 168th place in 26.34.
Beechwood’s Lily Parke repeated as Class 1A state champion with a time of 18.55.
