Three Union County runners took to the starting line on Saturday at the Kentucky Beef Council Class 2A Girls’ State Cross Country Meet in Lexington.
Freshman Isabella Graham, who ran a personal best time to finish in sixth place at region, came in 85th place with a time of 23:03 at the Kentucky Horse Park’s rolling 3.1-mile course.
It was Graham’s third state meet appearance. She was 96th last year and 196th two years ago.
Audrey Burgess finished in 101st place in 23:45, improving by nearly four minutes from her 173rd-place state finish last year.
Kinslee Gray was making her second state meet run. She came in 122nd place in 24:27.
