With the start of the season just over four months away, University Heights Academy is beginning the search for a new head baseball coach. UHA Athletic Director Taylor Sparks confirmed to YourSportsEdge.Com that Scott Gentry stepped down from the position Tuesday morning after three years on the job.
Gentry compiled a 60-34 record from the 2023 season through the 2025 season. The Blazers made back-to-back trips to the 2nd Region championship game, falling to Hopkinsville in 2024 and then to Lyon County in 2025. UHA won the 8th District title in both of those seasons.
Sparks says UHA will take a couple of days to review the situation and then move forward with the process of finding a new baseball coach.
