Grady Oliphant’s first cross country race this season saw him finish the 3.1-mile run in 24:05.
On Saturday, the Trigg County sophomore knocked four-and-a-half minutes off that time to finish 121st at the state cross country meet in a time of 19:31.
Oliphant continually took his times lower as the season progressed, running sub-20-minute times in his final two races.
After his run at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington on Saturday, Grady recapped his season and his state meet run.
