Alexis Herrera-Lovato wrapped up her Hopkinsville cross country career with a 55th-place finish at the Class 2A State Meet in Lexington. Her finish was ironic because she ran 10 seconds faster than last year, but her finish was nine spots lower.
Alexis knocked three minutes off her opening time of the season at the region meet in running a new personal best of 21:36, and now looks ahead to track and field season as a middle-distance specialist.
