Competing at region for only the third time in 12 years, the Dawson Springs cheer squad finished in 10th place at the Region 1 cheer competition on Saturday at McCracken County High School.
Dawson Springs competed in the Game Day Small Division for the first time, which consists of squads between 5 and 19 members.
Their last trip to region was in 2023 when they finished in fifth place in the All-Girls Small Division.
In 2013, Dawson Springs won the region in the now-defunct Coed 1A division and finished in fourth place at state.
