Henderson County repeated as champions in the Game Day Small Division of the KHSAA Region 1 Cheerleading Competition at McCracken County High School on Saturday.
Henderson’s score of 84.50 easily outdistanced second-place Calloway County (75.00) in the 11-team division.
The Game Day Small Division consists of cheer squads with 5-19 cheerleaders.
Henderson County also won the division last year and finished 10th at the state competition.
The cheer team will compete in the state competition on Dec. 12-13 at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester.
