Webster County’s cheerleading squad continued its run of top-five finishes at region on Saturday at McCracken County High School.
Their score of 69.80 was good for fifth place in the Game Day Small Division of the KHSAA Region 1 competition. It was the school’s first time competing in the division, which requires squads to have 5-19 cheerleaders.
Webster County finished 2.5 points out of a state qualifying position.
The school has competed in four different divisions since the KHSAA sanctioned cheer in 2013 and has finished no worse than fifth place.
