The Bowling Green Lady Purples scored the first 11 points and went on to beat Madisonville-North Hopkins 38-29 Saturday in the Rise Up Pan-O-Rama.
After falling behind early, the Lady Maroons got as close as three points in the second period before Bowling Green went up 21-15 at halftime.
Madisonville was as close as 33-29 late in the scrimmage before the Lady Purples finished off the nine-point win.
Taylor Nelson hit five 3-pointers and had 17 points for the Lady Maroons. Macy Wright and JaMia Harris each had five points. Sadie Kirk had two points.
Jooniper Strow and Maddie Davenport each had 11 points for Bowling Green. Aniyah Smith and Kori Ware had five points apiece.
Madisonville hosted Saturday’s Pan-O-Rama, which featured five varsity scrimmages.
