Hopkins County Central and Lyon County are both looking to make some noise in the 2nd Region this season.
The Lady Storm had the better day, though, when the two teams met Saturday in the Rise Up Pan-O-Rama at Madisonville-North Hopkins High School.
Tyah White was named the Player of the Game after scoring 21 points — including the final three points of the game on the Elam Ending — as Hopkins Central picked up a 59-42 decision.
Addie Menser and Calajia Mason each had 16 points for the Lady Storm, which led 26-20 after one quarter and 35-26 at halftime.
Hopkins Central held a 48-35 advantage through three quarters.
Bri Dulin added six points for the Lady Storm.
Piper Cotham led Lyon with 14 points. Trinity Taylor and Courtney Collins each had 10. Jenna Coursey added six. Lily Coffman had two points for the Lady Lyons.
