Blazers Outscore Trigg in Saturday Scrimmage

Trigg County and University Heights Academy met for a five-quarter scrimmage on Saturday at Blazer Gym. The Blazers outscored the Wildcats in four of the five quarters, with the score reset after each eight-minute period.

UHA used a 12-0 run to end the first quarter, sparked by a trio of 3-pointers and 15 points from Keshawn Moore.

He added eight points in the second quarter as the Blazers outscored Trigg 15-9. Moore scored 11 points in the third frame as UHA again outscored Trigg 19-13. In five quarters of play, Moore hit six 3-pointers and finished with 39 points.

Landon Swann hit three shots from behind the arc in the third quarter and added 10 points in the final quarter as Trigg outscored UHA 22-11. Swann finished with a team-high 25 points.

Houston Quarles and Corte Sharber each scored six points for the Blazers in the fourth quarter.

Trigg County and University Heights Academy haven’t played since the 2015 region tournament and aren’t slated to play in the 2025-26 regular season.

Trigg County will open its season on December 2 at Hickman County, while UHA will open on December 5 at South Warren.
