The Madisonville-North Hopkins girls’ swim team opened the 2025-26 with a sixth place finish at Saturday’s Henderson Thankswimming Invite, helped by four top-10 finishes.
Ellen Eveland finished in third place in the 100-yard IM in 1:10.34 and was sixth in the 50-yard fly in 32.27 seconds.
Addison Howard came in second place in the 50-yard backstroke in 32.95 seconds and sixth place in the 50-yard freestyle in 28.56 seconds.
Iris Turley came in 33rd place in the 50-yard backstroke in 52.04 seconds.
Ava Evans came in 36th place in the 50-yard freestyle in 37.86 seconds.
The 200-yard medley relay team finished in sixth place in 2:35.55, while the 200-yard free relay team was seventh in 2:18.22.
Madisonville scored 109 points to finish five points ahead of seventh-place Mercy Academy and 17 points behind fifth-place Hopkinsville.
