The Madisonville-North Hopkins boys’ swim team opened the 2025-26 season on Saturday at the Henderson Thankswimming Invite, finishing in seventh place.
The Maroons had 124 points, which was six points out of fifth place and 26 points better than eighth-place Owensboro. Louisville Trinity won the meet with 267 points.
Sy Soriano came in fourth place in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.80 seconds and was sixth in the 50-yard fly in 25.84 seconds.
Gavin Bunch finished in seventh place in the 50-yard breaststroke in 32.51 seconds and was 13th in the 100-yard IM in 1:05.11.
Jude Gamblin came in 11th place in the 50-yard freestyle in 24.67 seconds and 22nd in the 50-yard fly in 29.48 seconds.
J.D. Brown came in 16th place in the 100-yard IM in 1:08.25 and was 18th place in the 50-yard fly in 28.77 seconds.
Camden Crowley came in 19th place in the 50-yard fly in 28.84 seconds and 22nd place in the 100-yard IM in 1:11.23.
Jaden Heath finished in 24th place in the 50-yard backstroke in 41.94 seconds and 42nd place in the 50-yard freestyle in 30.43 seconds.
Jaden Gonzalez came in 27th place in the 50-yard breaststroke in 42.31 seconds and was 50th place in the 50-yard freestyle in 32.71 seconds.
Gage Garst finished in 31st place in the 50-yard backstroke in 49.81 seconds and was 57th place in the 50-yard freestyle in 34.69 seconds.
Lucas Fox came in 31st place in the 50-yard breaststroke in 48.10 seconds and was 74th place in the 50-yard freestyle in 38.65 seconds.
The 200-yard free relay team came in third place in 1:37.33, and the 200-yard medley relay team came in fifth place in 1:51.77.
