Caldwell’s Girls Go 1-2 at Crittenden Scrimmage (w/PHOTOS)

Caldwell County’s girls went 1-2 in scrimmage action at Crittenden County on Saturday.

The Lady Tigers rallied for an overtime win against Paducah Tilghman, but dropped tilts with Crittenden and Allen County-Scottsville.

Caldwell’s girls opened the day against host Crittenden and trailed just 16-14 at halftime. However, the Lady Rockets pulled away in the second half for a 37-24 victory.

Tink Clark led the Lady Tigers with eight points while Med Thomas added six. Ke’Darriah Thompson and Laylay Shearer each had four points while Paisley Hooks had two.

Caldwell’s girls then fell to Allen County-Scottsville 34-17.

Thomas scored nine points in that game while Thompson had four. Clark and Gia Whittaker had two points apiece.

The Lady Tigers finished the day with a 48-46 win over Tilghman in overtime.

Caldwell led that game for much of the first half before seeing Tilghman go in front for much of the second half. However, a 3-pointer by Thomas put the Lady Tigers up 46-44 late. But the Lady Tornado tied things in the closing seconds.

Overtime in the scrimmage was the first team to score. Caldwell won the opening tip, with Thompson driving in to score the game-winning basket in just 5 seconds.

Clark had 18 points and Thompson finished with 14 points to lead the Lady Tigers.

Thomas added 10 points. Shearer had four and Whittaker two.

Caldwell’s girls will open the regular season at Crittenden County on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
