
The Madisonville-North Hopkins swim team captured fourth place at the Rick Cohn Invitational on Saturday in Hopkinsville.
In a preview of the region 50-yard freestyle, Sy Soriano came in second place in 22.85 seconds, just .62 seconds behind defending region champion Kellie Tobergte of Murray.
Soriano also finished in third place in the 100-yard freestyle, coming in .67 seconds behind the winner and .33 seconds behind second place Tobergte.
Jude Gamblin finished in sixth place in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.56 seconds.
Gavin Bunch was sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:17.96 and sixth in the 200-yard IM in 2:27.82.
J.D. Brown was eighth in the 100-yard fly in 1:09.28 and eighth in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:09.93.
Aiden Clark was eighth in the 100-yard freestyle in 6:54.15 and 13th in the 200-yard IM in 2:44.59.
Camden Crowley came in ninth in the 100-yard fly in 1:11.51 and finished in 12th place in the 200-yard IM in 2:43.61.
Jaden Gonzalez was 15th in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:34 and 18th in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:10.65.
Gage Garst was 23rd in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:16.50 and 30th in the 50-yard freestyle in 34.31 seconds.
Lucas Fox was 28th in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:21.88 and 33rd in the 50-yard freestyle in 35.39 seconds.
The 200-yard medley relay team of Sy Soriano, J.D. Brown, Gavin Bunch, and Jude Gamblin came in second place in 1:52.50, which was 6.34 seconds behind the race winner, Muhlenberg County. They also came in second place in the 400-yard free relay in 3:43.30.
The 200-yard free relay team of Camden Crowley, Gage Garst, Jaden Gonzalez, and Aiden Clark came in 11th place in 2:06.17.
