Trigg County Finishes 5th at Russellville Lady Panther Wrestling Classic

A Top 5 finish for the Trigg County Lady Wildcats at the Russellville Lady Panther Wrestling Classic Saturday at Russellville High School. The Lady Wildcats totalled 90 points and finished in fifth place for the event.

John Hardin took first place with 145 points. Fort Campbell took second place with 106, and Woodford County finished in third place with 105 points. Just ahead of Trigg County was Henderson County in 4th place with 100.5.

Trigg County had one second-place finish, three third-place finishes, and one fourth-place finish.

The Lady Wildcats’ top finish came from Skyler Novosselov, who finished 2nd in the 165 class. She went 2-1 for the day, falling to Kaulana Kulee, of John Hardin, in the championship match.

Alani Mayes took third place in the 152 class. She was 4-1 for the tournament, winning the third-place match over Aracely Carbajal of Central Hardin.

Aniah Wharton also took third place in the 165 class. She won four straight after losing her opening match. Aniah defeated Natalie Tardy, of Warren Central, in the third-place match.

Sophie Parrish brought back third place in the 107 class. She was 4-1 for the day and defeated Madilyn Cannon, of Logan County, in the third-place match.

Loralai Stephens ended up in 4th place in the 145 class. She was 2-2 on the day, losing to Avaley Moore, of Fort Campbell, in the third-place match.
