School officials with the consolidated Christian County High School have looked to the 3rd Region to find the school’s first volleyball coach. During a media conference Monday morning, it was announced that Ohio County coach Zach Hardison would be taking over as the first coach for the Lady Tigers.
Hardison brings 12 years of head coaching experience to the position. He has also played with a men’s AAU competitive team based in Owensboro. Hardison’s passion for volleyball began at a young age, playing alongside his father, who is also a head coach at Owensboro Catholic.
Hardison served as an assistant coach at Apollo High School, Henderson County High School, and Daviess County High School. His head coaching experience includes 12 years in AAU programs and high school stops at Hancock County, McLean County.
He spent the last three years as the head coach at Ohio County High School, where he won two district titles and was named Third Region Coach of the Year in 2024.
