“I know this has been a hard year. We’ve had heartbreak, loss, things that I know, and I hope that you boys will never have to experience again,” Bleidt said. “We have an empty chair tonight, and I want to say how proud I am of you boys and the families for sticking together because that’s what this program is. Loving one another, being there for one another, and understanding that soccer is such a small part of what we have built here.”
He also offered some advice to the team at the close of the banquet.
“Continue to love each other. Be best friends. Check on each other, and walk in the hallway together. Hold each other accountable with discipline and grace. And always, always be together.”
With 14 wins over the past two seasons, Bleidt said to expect to be challenged in 2026.
“You will play every team in the region next year. We will no longer back down from competition. We are going to play at the highest level because that’s where we want to be. Our goal is to win the regional championship, and we should not want to accept anything less,” he said.
