The Todd County Central Lady Rebels went into their home game against the McLean County Lady Cougars looking for their first win of the new season. Unfortunately, they were not able to do so, and ended up losing 71-33.
The Lady Rebels did not get off the worst start in the first quarter, as they ended it down just 15-10. But the second quarter was a very different story.
The Lady Cougars were able to score 26 points behind three three-pointers and a chunk of free throws, while Todd County scored just nine. This led the Lady Rebels to be down 41-19 at the halftime break.
The third quarter was not much better for Todd, as they scored just six points compared to McLean’s 19, which led to a 60-25 deficit when the fourth and final quarter rolled around.
After that, all it took was the Lady Cougars dribbling the clock out and putting 11 in the fourth to close out the game and get the victory 71-33.
Kathryn Ballard led the way for the Lady Rebels in scoring with 14, and she did so behind four made three-pointers.
Todd County will be searching for their first win of the young season in their next game against Allen County-Scottsville on the road on Thursday, December 11. The game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m.
