Logan Wring scored 40 points in Livingston Central’s 90-43 win over Crittenden County on Friday and became the school’s all-time leading scorer.

Wring’s haul gave him 1,842 career points, passing Don Ringstaff. Wring scored 653 points as a sophomore and battled through injuries to score 486 points as a junior.

He is also closing in on 1,000 career rebounds, entering Friday’s game with 867 boards.

Ringstaff scored 1,838 points in the late 1950s, including 46 points in the Sweet 16 against Olive Hill. His 20 free throws made are still tied for a single-game state tournament record.

Ringstaff went on to play collegiately at Vanderbilt and Southeast Missouri State.

He came back to coach at Livingston Central, winning over 300 games from 1966 to 1986. Ringstaff was inducted into the KHSAA Hall of Fame in 2002.
