Calling it the greatest year in University Heights Academy girls’ soccer history, Coach Michael Parker put the wraps on the 2025 season at the team’s annual postseason banquet on Monday.

It was a season that saw the Lady Blazers begin in Europe and culminate with the program’s first region championship since 2007.

“This whole year has been, without a doubt, the greatest year in UHA girls’ soccer history. Every tournament that we entered, we won, with the exception of the state tournament,” Parker said. “The middle school in the spring won the district and the region. JV won the Mayfield Invitational. Varsity won the All A Region, the district and the big region.”

University Heights Academy participated in the Gothia Cup in Sweden in July and then posted a 19-3-1 record, including a pair of region championships.

The six seniors – Alyssa Grise, Audrey Perry, Emma Tyler, Skylar Cantrell, Cecilia Langhi, and Ajae Oatts – posted a 62-17 record in four years with three ties. They outscored their opponents 417-110 and were unbeaten in district play.

“This senior class is going to be an extremely tough class to replace, but I think that we’ve got enough sitting in this room tonight that if we’re willing to put in the work, I think we can be just as successful,” Parker said.

Academic All-State Awards were given to Kate Lynn Gibson, Emory Lester, Maggie Mohon, Gracie Ausenbaugh, Presley Bruce, Skylar Canrell, Palin Hampton, Anne Brian Hampton, Kendall Hancock, Cecilia Langhi, Emma McCarley, Ajae Oatts, Alyssa Grise, Kate Cayce, Kate Adams, Adalyn Isom, Rhyss Sallie, Audrey Perry, Emma Tyler, and Madison Williams.

Parker also recognized Audrey Perry for putting up 100 assists, joining Trigg County’s Leiah Hite (112) as the only players in region history with triple-digit career assists and one of only five players in state history with 100 or more.

Also honored was Kendall Hancock, who set a school record with 56 goals in the 2025 season, eclipsing the old mark of 53 set by Lilly Strader in her sophomore season of 2016.

Hancock will enter her senior season with 148 goals, which is second in school history and sixth in region history. She needs 30 goals to pass Strader for the top spot in the UHA record book.
