
Lyon County bounced back in a big way from its first loss of the season on Friday with a 109-25 victory at Crittenden County on Tuesday.
Bray Kirk outscored the Rockets on his own in the opening quarter with 14 of the Lyons’ 36 points. Leading by 26, Traverys Taylor scored eight in the second frame, and Lyon County held the Rockets scoreless to stretch the advantage to 66-10 at the halftime break.
Nolan Coffman scored eight of his 13 points in the third, and Carsen Collins added four to finish in double figures with 11. Kirk led all scorers with 24 points, Taylor had 15, and Jacob McDaniels scored 10.
Lyon County improved to 4-1, 2-0 in 5th-District play, ahead of a visit from Hopkinsville on Thursday.
Crittenden County slipped to 0-9 with a trip to St. Mary coming up on Thursday.
