While the defense gave a big effort Tuesday night, the Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors’ offense just could not get things rolling. HCA was held to single digits in three of the four quarters as the Lady Warriors dropped a homecourt decision to Community Christian 30-21.
HCA had just two points after the first 8 minutes but was still in the game thanks to the defense, which limited Community Christian to just 8 points in the quarter.
The Lady Warriors actually outscored CCA in the second quarter but still found themselves down 11-7 at the break.
The third quarter played out much like the first with Community Christian outscoring HCA 9 to 3 to get control of the game with a 20-10 lead.
Heritage had its best quarter offensively in the fourth but could not make headway and ended up dropping the 9-point decision.
The Lady Warriors were led by Ava DeJager, who finished with 9 points. Kynlee Henderson added 6 points, while Gracie Stallins finished with 4 points.
Heritage Christian (0-4) hosts Christian Fellowship Monday night.
