The Dawson Springs Lady Panthers basketball team went into their road game against Northeast on the road on Thursday looking for their first win of the season. And they were able to get just that with a 54-44 victory in enemy territory.
Aside from the first game of the season where they scored 44 against Caverna, the Lady Panthers had not been able to get back over 30 since then. But that all changed when they scored 54 against Northeast, and on the road no less.
Dawson’s girls team had lost four straight games to start the season, so a win like this going into the rest of the year is huge for confidence.
They will be looking to keep that confidence going when they try to start a win streak in their next game on Friday against the Lady Rebels of Todd County Central. Their game will begin at 5 p.m. at Northeast.
