The Todd County Central Lady Rebels went into their game against Dawson Springs looking for their first win, while the Lady Panthers had just got their first win in their previous game. But instead of them starting a win streak, it was Todd who was able to get their first win 55-28.
The Lady Rebels had lost their first even games of the season heading into Friday night, but they were able to score their most points of the season with 55 to get the victory over the Lady Panthers.
As for Dawson, they were coming off of a night where they scored their most points of the season with 54, and they had a bit of a letdown game with 28.
This was the sixth meeting ever between the Todd County Central and Dawson Springs girls teams, and the Lady Rebels have taken all but one game that the Lady Panthers won in 2020. Todd now leads the all-time series 5-1.
They will be looking to build on this win in their next game on Monday, December 22, against the Lady Maroons of Madisonville-North Hopkins. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Todd County Central High School.
As for the Lady Panthers, they will be hoping that they can back on the right track against Crittenden County on Monday, January 5. Their game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. at Dawson Springs High School.
