After opening play at the Gateway Holiday Classic at Montgomery County with a win over Henry County, the Hopkinsville boys’ basketball team dropped the next two in lopsided fashion, including a 69-47 setback to Scott County on Monday.
The Tigers lost their second-straight and fourth in their last five outings to slip to 5-5. They’ll be back in action on Saturday when they face Jeffersontown at Ashland Blazer in the Ashland Invitational Tournament. The two teams have met once previously, when Jeffersontown won 82-63 back in 2009.
Scott County bounced back from its first loss in five games to improve to 6-2.
