
Trigg County used a 26-9 third-quarter run to beat Crittenden County 68-46 to claim seventh place at the St. Mary Christmas Classic on Monday.
The Wildcats’ win snapped a six-game losing streak and extended their winning streak over Crittenden to six games.
Davaree Gude scored 19 points and was named the game MVP. Landon Swann added 20 points for the Wildcats.
Gude scored nine points in the first quarter as the Wildcats built a three-point lead.
The Rockets got balanced scoring in the second frame, forging a 28-28 halftime tie.
Swann scored 10 points in the third quarter to spark the 26-9 run that saw the Wildcats take control of the contest.
Zammarion Broussard and Karmelo Dixon each scored nine points for the Wildcats, whose 68 points is the most since a December 5 win at Fulton City.
Brady Dayberry hit a trio of 3-pointers to lead Crittenden County with 11 points.
The game doesn’t count as a district game, with the two set to play a pair of games in January and February.
Crittenden County dropped to 0-12 with the loss and has dropped 48 straight dating back to February of the 2023-24 season.
Trigg County will play in the Stewart County Christmas Classic next week.
