
Fort Campbell’s fourth-place finish on Tuesday at the Christian County Wrestling Invitational was bolstered by five podium finishes.
Jayden Perry won the 138-pound class, continuing a stellar season that has seen him post a 14-2 record. The Falcon senior pinned all three of his opponents.
Eithan Cassell won his first two matches in the 144-pound class before falling to defending region champion Dane Miller of Christian County in the championship match.
Ryker Kramer took third place in the 113-pound class, falling to eventual champion Kevin Lopez in the semifinals. He bounced back to get a pair of wins to move his season record to 13-4.
Isaiah Messer Cruz placed fourth in the 175-pound class with a 2-2 afternoon.
Also, Andy Cintron took fourth place in the 120-pound class. His 3-2 record bumped his season record to 10-7.
Luis Nunez was fifth in the 150-pound class, defeating Owensboro’s Tristan Stapleton with a second-round pin.
Ethan Gilmore came in sixth place in the 126-pound class with a pair of wins.
The Falcons totaled 121 points to tie Ohio County for fourth place, 2.5 points ahead of sixth-place South Warren and 19.5 points behind third-place Apollo.
Christian County won the event with 253.5 points.
