Caldwell County junior Daelyn Lander has gotten off to a strong start this season.
Lander is averaging 17.4 points a game to help the Tigers get off to a 4-3 start.
Lander, who is also quarterback on the Caldwell football team, had 30 points on Tuesday as the Tigers pulled away to beat Allen County-Scottsville 84-63.
