Caldwell’s Girls Bow to Carlisle in 3rd Place Game

The Caldwell County Lady Tigers finished their stay in the H&H Holiday Hoopfest at Logan County with a 1-2 record.

Caldwell’s girls dropped their finale on Sunday afternoon, bowing to Carlisle County 69-50 in the third-place game.

Carlisle (8-3) led 18-10 after one quarter and 35-28 at halftime.

Caldwell (5-5) was still within 49-41 after three quarters, but the Lady Comets stretched out the final margin in the fourth period.

Med Thomas led the Lady Tigers with 21 points and was named Player of the Game. Tink Clark had 18 points.

Calloway’s Macee Hogancamp had 22 points and was Player of the Game for her team. Eden Bruer had 19 points.

Caldwell’s girls opened the tournament in Russellville with a 54-47 win over Springfield, Tennessee, on Friday.

Caldwell then fell in overtime to McCracken County 44-35 in the semifinals on Saturday.

The Lady Tigers are now off until Monday, Jan. 5, when they visit Livingston Central in a first round game in the 2nd Region All A Classic.
