
The Caldwell County Tigers finished with a 1-2 mark in the Ballard Memorial Christmas Shootout after dropping the fifth-place game to Livingston Central on Monday.
Logan Wring had 35 points to pace the Cardinals, who picked up an 87-77 victory over the Tigers.
Caldwell (5-5) got off to a great start, building a double-digit lead and holding a 27-17 advantage after 8 minutes.
The Tigers took a 43-35 edge to halftime.
But Livingston (6-3) turned things around in the third quarter, outscoring Caldwell 24-14 to earn a 59-57 lead going to the final frame.
The contest remained tight until late, with Livingston eventually pushing the final margin to 10 points.
Bryson Walker added 24 points for the Cardinals while Ethan Garner and Avery Zaim each had 10.
Livingston converted 30 of 37 free throws in the contest. Wring was 18 of 25.
Caldwell shot just five free throws, making four.
Pax Aikins led the Tigers with 32 points. Mitchell Phelps had 15 while Kese Wilson and Daelyn Lander each had 13.
Caldwell is back at home Friday afternoon when it hosts Fort Campbell.
Livingston will travel to Owensboro on Saturday to face Apollo.
